Our Story
Dement Construction Company, Inc. was founded by W.G. (Sonny) Dement in 1977, specializing in heavy highway construction throughout the Southeast. Over the years, the company continued to grow organically and through acquisitions of other heavy highway and asphalt paving contractors. In 2006 the grading and asphalt paving divisions of Dement Construction Company, Inc. were spun off, thus forming Delta Contracting Company, LLC.
We remain a family-owned business that primarily focuses on providing the public with the highest quality road construction available. While headquartered in Tennessee, we bid and perform work in a multi-state region with various state, county, and city Departments of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, and numerous other public and private entities.
